మంగళ హారతులు (Mangala Harathulu)

Description

In Tel­ugu cul­ture, Man­gala Harathu­lu are tra­di­tion­al songs sung at the con­clu­sion of a puja (prayer), wed­ding, or any aus­pi­cious cer­e­mo­ny. These songs are typ­i­cal­ly per­formed by women to:

• Ward­ing off the “evil eye.”

• Bless the cou­ple or the house­hold.

• Offer final devo­tion to the deity before end­ing a cer­e­mo­ny.
